VILLAGE HOUSE QUICK FACTS

1.  We serve over 6000 lunches a year

2.  We serve over 12,000 snacks a year

3.  Our staff and volunteers are required to have DOUBLE the amount of in-service hours required by the state of Arkansas.

4.  Village House began over 23 years ago

5.  Village House has a fire/tornado drill once a month instead of quarterly.

6.   Our oldest client is 98 years young.

7.   Village House is partnered with the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.

8.   Village House receives funds from the United Way.

9.   Village House belongs to the Health Care Marketing Alliance.  Their membership includes all areas of health care including hospitals, Health and Rehab facilities, attorneys, senior centers, etc.

10. Village House has a 12 member Board of Directors

11. Village House is non-profit.

12. Village House has a Registered Nurse as a weekly volunteer.

13. Village House has a fantastic volunteer that has been diagnosed with  Alzheimers.

14. Village House accepts people who are wheelchair bound.  We don’t have to but we do.  

15. Village House accepts people who are incontinent.  We don’t have to but we do.

16. Village House has a daily exercise program.  This equates to over 15 hours a month for people who would otherwise not exercise at all.

17.  Village House provides over 500 hours of music every year for its clients.  

18.   Village House received zero (0) deficiencies on the last two state inspections.  These inspections are done every 6 months.  

19. Village House is approved for Medicaid/Elder Choice clients.

20. Village House operates under the “Greenhouse” theory.  Can you explain what this means???  The short answer is that we treat everyone as family, including staff and volunteers.
